Jill and James’ wedding at the Wyndham brought back many memories of my native UK, with the groom being from Sunderland, and the best man being a fellow Yorkshireman, from only a few miles away from where I grew up.

Add into that a bride with a true classic style and beauty, and you clearly have a winning wedding!

Vanessa & Justin’s beautiful wedding at the One&Only Ocean Club on Paradise Island looked like something out of the movies.

This stunning couple could not have created a more perfect day, and being a part of it all was a true honour.

It’s not often I get to photograph a wedding where the best man has four legs and is covered in fur, but that’s exactly what I did at Kim and Damon’s awesome wedding!

Damon, the groom, is ex military and now works as a specialist dog trainer for US law enforcement, so naturally his first choice for best man was his best friend, Nero.

And so, with Nero at his feet, he tied the knot with the beautiful Kim on the amazing Compass Point dock in a celebration attended by 4 generations of Kim’s family, and friends from around the world.

The first shoot put my new studio to the test, photographing their first two products, a pale rum, and an amber rum, while the second shoot documented the progress on the Buena Vista Estate, built in 1789, and restored to its former glory by the distillery.

And rained.

And rained.

With their plans for a beautiful Bahamas beach wedding now sidelined, the couple were determined to make the most of their day regardless, and finally said their “I Do’s” under cover in the Atlantis resort.

I felt so bad for them, not being able to have beautiful memories captured by our stunning waters and beaches, so I offered them a free bridal session as soon as weather cleared up.

Two days later, we hit the beach, this time under blue skies and alongside a turquoise ocean to make some amazing images for them to cherish forever.

So happy the rain cleared up guys, and I wish you many years of happiness!

Having been primarily a location photographer for the past 4 years, having a studio space of my own opens up a whole new world of photography for me, from creative family shoots, to precisely controlled product photography, and I can’t wait to begin this new phase.

The studio itself, located in Sandyport, West Bay Street, comprises of a spacious meeting and viewing area, where I can sit down with clients before a shoot to chat, and review their images with them in comfort and in person after the shoot. Behind this is a huge shooting area, complete with a changing room, for shoots themselves.

Karmen and Ben came down to nassau for their wedding just before Christmas – a small, intimate affair on the beach with just themselves, parents and a couple of extra guests.

After spending a few days relaxing and enjoying a some of the highlights of Christmas in The Bahamas, we met up again for a Trash The Dress session (that I think they were possibly more excited about than their wedding itself!)

With Karmen being an amazing and respected photographer back in her home town, there was the added pressure a photographer feels when shooting another photographer, but these guys loved my work and trusted me completely, and had a great sense of adventure, so off we headed to go make some magic.

As with all my TTD shoots, we took our time. I’d scouted a few locations I wanted to use prior to the shoot, and Karmen had been exploring herself, and found a couple of others to add to the list. Throughout the afternoon, we covered abandoned buildings, historic sites, cliffs, the forest and, of course, ended up on the beach at sunset for some spectacular final images.
